LEAH_Putnam_Slider_0023One of the best options to start your day and boost your energy levels is with green juices or just simply liquids. Up until about 11am we should be consuming only liquids or what I like to refer to as “Liquid Sunshine”. By consuming liquids in the morning hours we support and aid our digestive system as it awakens from its sleeping mode and adjusts toward consuming solid foods.

Juicing is a wonderful way to get your recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, dietary enzymes and more.  It aids in reducing inflammation, provides support for your immune system and gives you a great boost of energy.

I make it a point to start every morning with a large glass of “Good Morning Liquid Sunshine”. Try it out for yourself and let me know what you think about it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 large cucumbers (peeled if not organic)
  • 2 stalks of celery

Directions:

  1. Juice all ingredients in a juicer.
  2. If you do not have a juicer, blend the cucumbers and celery together in a blender on high speed.
  3. Pour through a juice/nut bag.
